TiVo Guide Week of May 4, 2009 *spoiler alert*

“Cook Yourself Thin” A cooking show that gives tips on reducing calories in favorite dishes kicks off with recipes for reduced-calorie lasagna, steak and vanilla cupcakes. Monday at 5 on Lifetime.

“House” The lungs of a ballerina (Jamie Tisdale) collapse while she's on stage, and her initial treatment causes her skin to fall off. Meanwhile, House not only still can't sleep, but he remains haunted by visions of Amber (Anne Dudek). Monday at 8 on Fox.

“Medium” Parts 1 and 2 of 3. Allison resigns at the DA's office when she's lured by a fellow psychic (Tracy Pollan) to work at a formidable corporation. She basks in the opulent corporate lifestyle, but she's haunted by visions of a serial killer's murderous fury in Phoenix. Meanwhile, the territorial company bigwig (David Morse) forbids Allison from sharing her dreams with Devalos and Scanlon. And Ariel begins taking pills, hoping they'll block out her visions of a ghost. Monday at 9 on NBC.

“American Idol” The final four singers take to the stage to deliver rock songs in a performance edition. Rock guitarist Slash (Guns n' Roses, Velvet Revolver) is the guest mentor. Tuesday at 8 on Fox.

“Biggest Loser: Couples” The players go home for 30 days to learn to keep up their healthy lifestyles outside the ranch. Upon their return to campus, the players compete in the season's final challenge: running a full marathon. After the weigh-in, the final two are revealed, along with the two players competing for the third spot in the finale. Also: Former contestants Ali Vincent, Michelle Aguilar, Jim Germanakos, Heba Salama and Bernie Salazar turn out to offer inspiration to the players. Tuesday at 8 on NBC.

“Fringe” The investigation of a suspected case of spontaneous combustion coincides with Olivia's detailed but inexplicable visions, Walter's focus on the ZFT manifesto and a potentially pivotal revelation from Peter. Tuesday at 9:01 on Fox.

“Scrubs” J.D. bids Sacred Heart farewell in the eighth-season finale. His agenda before he goes includes getting a hug from Dr. Cox and learning the Janitor's name. Meanwhile, Elliot slowly moves her belongings into J.D.'s new place, signaling a change in their relationship. Wednesday at 8 on ABC.

“Lie to Me” An FBI agent (Mekhi Phifer) enlists the Lightman Group in the hunt for a serial rapist. Cal's assignment: infiltrate a prison and befriend a convict (Daniel Sunjata) whom the suspect appears to be copycatting. Wednesday at 8 on Fox.

“Make Me a Supermodel” The seven lasting contestants learn the bare truth about fashion accessories when they pose for photographer Bill Diodato. Wednesday at 10 on Bravo.

“Ugly Betty” The hope that Matt's wealthy father will save Mode from financial collapse is threatened by the kidnapping of an heir to the Meade empire. Meanwhile, Archie Rodriguez (Ralph Macchio) tries to enlist Hilda's help with his political aspirations. Thursday at 8 on ABC.

“Fashion Show” There's a passion for fashion in this reality competition show, in which 15 professional designers square off in fashion-themed heats for a $125,000 prize. The first episode introduces the designers, who meet hosts Isaac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland. Fashion dignitary Fern Mallis appears as a series judge. Thursday at 10 on Bravo.

“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” A man and a woman are gunned down gangster style in Koreatown but none of the witnesses will talk to the police. The investigation reveals an Asian gang is likely behind the murders and that a boy, who is now missing and is part of a clinical trial, may be the key to the crimes. Thursday at 10:01 on CBS.

“Ghost Whisperer” While making wedding-day preparations, Melinda finds time to help a girl who claims she's been visited by vampires. Serena Westen: Alexa Vega. Jenn Westen: Gail O'Grady. Friday at 8 on CBS.

“Dog Whisperer” Cesar Millan goes undercover to investigate conditions at several Los Angles County puppy mills. Then, he rescues 11 dogs considered worthless by breeders. Friday at 9 on National Geographic.

“Dollhouse” The Season 1 finale finds Alpha's Echo obsession growing ever more dangerous, Ballard's search for the Dollhouse coming to a conclusion, an Active being permanently deactivated and another's surprising past coming to light. Stephen Kepler: Alan Tudyk. Friday at 9:01 on Fox.

“JONAS” The boys re-create and record scenes from old family videos after they accidentally destroy the original tapes. Saturday at 8 on Disney.

“Ace of Cakes” Actor Jorge Garcia invites the Charm City crew to "Lost" set Hawaii, where they'll create a cake for the show's 100th-episode celebration. Saturday at 9 on Food.

“Saturday Night Live” Justin Timberlake hosts. Ciara is the music guest. Saturday at 11:29 on NBC.

“Sandra’s Money Saving Meals” Sandra Lee prepares an inexpensive brunch menu in the opener of the cooking series that features budget-friendly recipes and money-saving kitchen tricks. Recipes include French toast with brown-sugar bananas; an asparagus-and-tomato tart; apple-spiced glazed donuts; bread pudding; and sparkling-cider mimosas. Sunday at 12 on Food.

“Family Guy” Stephen King meets "The Family Guy" (with vocal help from Richard Dreyfuss, Roy Scheider and George Wendt). The tales include 12-year-old Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe heading off in search of a dead body and finding themselves; Brian getting rescued by his "No. 1 fan"---Stewie---after being hurt in a car crash; and Cleveland and Peter becoming friends in prison. Voice of Stephen King: Danny Smith. Sunday at 9 on Fox.

“Brothers & Sisters” In the third-season finale, the Walkers' worst fears may be realized when their efforts to help Tommy are unfolding as an exercise in futility. Meanwhile, Robert and Kitty's marriage reaches the point of no return; Saul makes a startling revelation about Ryan's mother; and Justin forges ahead with his future plans. Directed by Ken Olin. Sunday at 10:01 on ABC.
