313's Heroes and Goats

From the third round of The Open Championship

The Hero: Greg Norman. The 53-year-old Australian played the perfect pitch shot over a pot bunker to within a foot of the cup for par on the 18th hole, giving him a two-shot lead over defending champion Padraig Harrington and K.J. Choi. The Great White Shark is 18 holes from becoming golf's oldest major champion.
The Goat: Jean Van de Velde. The choking usually waits until the final round with him. But he went from four-over-par and four shots off the lead to 14 over with an 80 that even contained an eagle on the 17th. The Frenchman was famous for his comical collapse at Carnoustie in 1999, when he triple-bogeyed the final hole, including a shot into the lake.
