313's Heroes and Goats

From the Wisconsin vs. Michigan game

The Hero: Michigan's defense. Faced with five offensive/special teams turnovers in the first half, it held Wisconsin to field goals four times. The Wolverines allowed only one touchdown in the second half, and that was after U-M scored 27 points to take the lead.
The Goat: Wisconsin's defense. A group that suffocated Michigan for 2 1/2 quarters completely imploded when it mattered, allowing three extended U-M touchdown drives.

From the Michigan State vs. Indiana game

The Hero: Brett Swenson. As the rest of MSU's players were up and down during the game, sometimes making big plays while giving up others, Swenson's leg was automatic. He made all four of his field-goal attempts, including three from at least 45 yards.
The Goat: Cody Faulkner. The poor guy probably had a decent game otherwise, but he was the player called for holding on what would have been a 97-yard touchdown play for the Hoosiers in the third quarter. Instead, MSU ended up with a safety.
