“Damages” As Season 3 begins, a court has appointed Patty to recover assets lost in a Ponzi scheme orchestrated by Louis Tobin (Len Cariou) while Ellen is working for the DA's office, which will prosecute him. Tobin has admitted guilt, but insists that his wife and son (Lily Tomlin, Campbell Scott) knew nothing of his fraud. “Miss America 2010” Mario Lopez hosts the 2010 pageant from the Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Fifty-two women between the ages of 17 and 24 compete for the crown held by reigning queen Katie Stam. Judges include Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson; actress Vivica A. “Meteor Shower” Repeated meteor strikes imperil San Francisco, causing a city official (Michael Trucco) to evacuate the populace while a scientist (Kari Matchett) tries to determine the cause of the strikes and head off an extinction event. Saturday at 9 on Syfy.

“Grammy Awards” The 52nd annual event, held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Beyoncé leads all nominees with 10, followed by Taylor Swift with eight. Both perform on the show, along with Bon Jovi, the Black Eyed Peas, Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, Lady Gaga, Lady Antebellum, Maxwell, Pink and Zac Brown Band. Sunday at 8 on CBS.

“Family Guy” While tailing Meg to research a magazine article on American teen girls, Brian discovers that she has a secret boyfriend (voice of Chace Crawford), and that he's in jail. But he won't be for long. Allison Janney has a voice cameo as "Woman." Sunday at 9 on Fox.
