Picks updates and Baseball time!
Well, everybody here's the update. Three for four in picking the high school basketball games. Only East Grand Rapids' loss kept me from going perfect. I also correctly called Duke's win over Michigan State. Plus, though I didn't put this, I said South Carolina would beat Michigan in the NIT Finals, 65-61. Low and behold, I was right in calling the South Carolina win. Now let's get to the new stuff. Baseball's back. How will it look? Here's what I think. Believe it or not, the Tigers will contend for the AL Central title. In fact, I have them going 84-78. Team MVP should be Magglio Ordonez. However, the Tigers probably won't make the playoffs. Here's my championship picture, some what like a food chain. At the top are the White Sox, Indians, Yankees, Blue Jays, Red Sox, Angels, Cubs, Cardinals, and Braves. In the middle are the Tigers, Twins, Athletics, Astros, Brewers, Phillies, Mets, Dodgers, Giants, and Padres. And at the bottom are the Royals, Devil Rays, Orioles, Mariners, Reds, Pirates, Nationals, Marlins, Diamondbacks, and Rockies. For those of you who go by the numbers, here's what I got. The White Sox will win the AL Central and the Indians will get the AL Wild Card, followed by the Tigers, Twins, and Royals. The Yankees will win the AL East, followed by the Blue Jays, Red Sox, Devil Rays, and Orioles. The Angels will win the AL West, followed by the Athletics, Rangers, and Mariners. The Cubs will win the NL Central and the Cardinals will get the NL Wild Card, followed by the Astros, Brewers, Reds, and Pirates. The Braves will win the NL East, followed by the Phillies, Mets, Nationals, and Marlins. And the Dodgers will win the NL West, followed by the Giants, Padres, Diamondbacks, and Rockies. And for the World Series, I'll take the Indians over the Braves. Thank you for your time.
Oh, and before I forget, UCLA 65, Florida 63.
And before I forget again, I went 7-4 at WrestleMania. Too bad Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin, Chris Benoit, and Candice Michelle blew it. Well, that raises my record big time (no pun intended) to 23-25.
