313's Heroes and Goats

From the Toledo vs. Michigan game

The Hero: Nick Moore. The Toledo receiver caught 20 passes for 162 yards. It's a Michigan record for catches by an opposing individual.
The Goat: K.C. Lopata. U-M kicker pulled a would-be-tying, 26-yard field-goal attempt left with four seconds left.

From the Michigan State vs. Northwestern game

The Hero: MSU's secondary. The defensive backs atoned for last year's poor performance by making two picks, limiting big plays and limiting the Wildcats from scoring out of their spread offense. Northwestern had one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown.
The Goat: C.J. Bacher. The Northwestern quaterback finished 34-for-61 for 283 yards but threw two interceptions and had just one passing touchdown. MSU converted both of those picks into evential scores.
