"True Beauty" Beginning an eight-episode elimination contest in which 10 gorgeous people (six women; four men) face challenges to determine the most beautiful---and inner beauty counts as much as physical attractiveness---while they live together in an L.A. mansion. Host Vanessa Minnillo is also a judge, along with Cheryl Tiegs and Nole Marin. Monday at 10 on ABC.

"DietTribe" Five friends try to lose 30 pounds apiece in 90 days. In the series opener, the women have a group session with their psychotherapist and meet their trainer, who challenges them to run one lap around the track. Monday at 10 on Lifetime.

"90210" Annie grows suspicious of new brother Sean (Josh Henderson) after overhearing him on the phone; Brenda (Shannen Doherty) reveals a long-held secret to Kelly; and Dixon accepts an invitation from Christina, but doesn't tell Silver. Tuesday at 8 on The CW.

"Scrubs" Kelso's replacement, Dr. Maddox (Courteney Cox), makes some changes to Sacred Heart in the Season 8 opener. Meanwhile, J.D. is frustrated by his new set of incompetent interns, and Elliot tries to control her ego. Tuesday at 9 on ABC.

"Nip/Tuck" Sean ends his relationship with Colleen Rose (Sharon Gless) once and for all after the shooting, but the aftereffects linger. And Christian gets disturbing news when he lends Liz moral support during her breast-cancer scare. Meanwhile, Matt decides to take college premed courses. Tuesday at 10 on FX.

"13---Fear Is Real" A horror-themed reality series in which 13 contestants are abandoned in the Louisiana bayou to participate in challenges designed to scare and "kill" them off one by one. In the first episode, two contestants are buried alive. Wednesday at 8 on The CW.

"Barbara Walters Special" Patrick Swayze and his wife, Lisa Niemi, are interviewed at their California ranch. Wednesday at 10 on ABC.

"Damages" As Season 2 opens, Patty is setting up a charity foundation when a desperate man (William Hurt) she knows seeks her aid in a corporate-malfeasance case. She's also offered a class-action suit involving child malnutrition by Ellen, who's secretly out to take her down, aided by two government agents (Mario Van Peebles, Glenn Kessler). Executive: Brett Cullen. Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa have cameos as themselves. Wednesday at 10 on FX.

"Ugly Betty" Betty fights an uphill battle to make a good impression on a YETI editor (Bernadette Peters), and meets her counterpart (Nikki Blonsky) at Elle magazine as the publication's rivalry with Mode continues. Elle editors Robbie Myers and Joe Zee appear as themselves. Thursday at 8 on ABC.

"14th Annual Critics' Choice Awards" Coverage of the 14th annual awards presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association. Movies garnering the most nominations include "Milk," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and "Slumdog Millionaire." Among the presenters are Kate Beckinsale, Josh Brolin and Dustin Hoffman. Thursday at 9 on VH1.

"Private Practice" A patient of Cooper's contracts the measles, forcing a quarantine at Oceanside; Naomi pressures Addison to work with Wyatt (Jay Harrington) on a fertility case; Dell fights for sole custody of his daughter; and Violet and Pete ponder taking their friends-with-benefits relationship to the next level. "Howie Do It" A singing telegram arrives during a funeral, a dating show turns nightmarish and a waiter flounders in the premiere episode of this prank-based reality series. Friday at 8 on NBC.

"Flashpoint" The SRU works security for a visiting billionaire and his wife, who are scheduled to attend a benefit at a plush hotel, but the wife is kidnapped by a man posing as a journalist. The man and his accomplices don't want a cash ransom. They want her husband to admit to criminal activity, including murder, in his business dealings in South America before they will release her. Friday at 9 on CBS.

"Stargate Atlantis" Todd warns Atlantis about a sophisticated hive ship and encourages the team to attack the vessel before it can pose a threat to Earth in the series finale. Amanda Tapping, Christopher Heyerdahl. Friday at 9 on Sci Fi.

"Mighty B" The animated misadventures of zealous Honeybee scout Bessie Higgenbottom, who is determined to earn every badge possible. Saturday at 10:30 on Nickelodeon.

"Just for Laughs: Working Class Comedy" Performances by comics Bill Engvall, Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. Saturday at 6:45 on CMT.

"Expecting a Miracle" Botched directions lead a struggling couple (Teri Polo, Jason Priestley) to a small Mexican town whose residents have a positive effect on the pair's faltering marriage. Cheech Marin and Rebeka Montoya also star. Directed by Steve Gomer. Saturday at 9 on Hallmark.

"24" Season 7 opens with Jack Bauer on trial in Washington, D.C., and the return of Tony Almeida, who is involved in a national-security breach. New president Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) must deal with the threat without CTU, which has been disbanded. Janis Gold: Janeane Garofalo. Sunday at 8 on Fox.

"Golden Globe Awards" The Hollywood Foreign Press Association stages its 66th annual gala, which recognizes achievement in 25 movie and TV categories. Highlights include a tribute to filmmaker Steven Spielberg, who receives the Cecil B. DeMille Award for his contribution to the entertainment field. Slated presenters include Simon Baker, Drew Barrymore, Sacha Baron Cohen, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lopez, Glenn Close and Jake Gyllenhaal. From the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. "Brothers & Sisters" Kitty promotes her book about Robert's campaign on "Live With Regis and Kelly."
